I was adopted from China, but I am from Salem, Oregon. Because I have been a Talented and Gifted student since the first grade, I have attended many STEM enrichment activities throughout elementary and middle school which sparked my interest in the field of engineering. In high school, I joined my local First Tech Challenge team 11994 Hand of Ultron. During my three-ish years on the team, I have done every possible job from building and wiring, to programming, to writing the engineering notebook.

In my free time, I enjoy playing my violin, especially with a symphony. I have been playing since the fourth grade, so about nine years. I also build metal models as a hobby. For those who don’t know, metal models are tiny versions of various transportation, architecture, or fictional items typically no bigger than 4 inches in any dimension. My current collection includes 16 models. Pictured are a few models from my collection.
