Revamping DMC's DrinkBot

For my senior capstone project, I worked on a team of 5 redesigning a drink making machine for DMC Inc. We called our team 5 o'Clock Somewhere because the DrinkBot primarily made cocktails.
DMC is a project-based engineering consulting firm focused helping clients automate processes through software development, engineering, and control system solutions. DrinkBot is an interactive, drink-mixing robot developed by DMC to demonstrate their automation and control systems capabilities at Siemens trade shows. Unfortunately, DrinkBot had several practical limitations that impacted its effectiveness and annoyed the engineers during the trade show. These included reliability issues, excessive dripping, extensive cleanup requirements, inconsistent sensors, and difficulties related to transporting and assembling the device at event
Our task as a capstone team was to address all the pain points, and redesign the DrinkBot to make it more reliable, easier to build and clean, smaller to transport, and more eye catching.
